GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK
Under the supervision of the Principal the Business Education Teacher is responsible for planning organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program that develops students knowledge and skills in business finance entrepreneurship and technology while preparing them for college careers and the workforce.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Instruct students according to appropriate curriculum that includes assessment and review processes. Plan develop write and implement lesson plans in keeping with school district and state education requirements keeping records of student achievement and tracking their abilities. Work in collaboration with staff and other teachers. Comply with and enforce school rules and school board policies and procedures. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on committees as appropriate. Perform other school duties and assignments as appointed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with appropriate endorsement.
