Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to design, build, and maintain high-impact business intelligence solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable visual insights. The ideal candidate brings advanced expertise in DAX, data modeling, and end-to-end Power BI report and dashboard design.
Key ResponsibilitiesReport & Dashboard Development: Design, build, and publish intuitive, visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards tailored for both executive and operational stakeholders.
Data Modeling & DAX: Construct robust, scalable star-schema data models and write complex, optimized DAX formulas for advanced measures and KPIs.
Data Integration & Transformation: Connect Power BI to various structured and unstructured data sources, building clean ETL workflows using Power Query (M).
Performance Optimization: Diagnose and resolve report performance issues, optimizing slow-running DAX calculations, queries, and data refresh cycles.
UI/UX & Data Visualization: Implement modern visual design standards, user-friendly navigation, and drill-through capabilities to maximize user adoption.
Governance & Security: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), manage workspace access, and ensure data privacy and compliance across reports.
Power BI Expertise: Deep hands-on experience in front-end Power BI dashboard design, layout, and visual story-telling.
Advanced DAX: Proven ability to author complex DAX calculations, custom time-intelligence functions, and dynamic parameters.
Data Modeling: Strong foundation in dimensional modeling, star schemas, snowflake schemas, and relationship optimization.
Data Prep: Proficiency with Power Query / M language for data cleaning and transformation.
Performance Tuning: Skilled in using Performance Analyzer or DAX Studio to troubleshoot and optimize report speed.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business users.
Experience with SQL for querying relational databases prior to Power BI ingestion.
Exposure to cloud data warehouses (e.g., Azure SQL, Snowflake, or Synapse).
Familiarity with Agile development practices and Power BI Deployment Pipelines.
