Senior Interior Designer | Luxury Residential

Semmelmann Interiors — Fort Worth, Texas | Full-Time | On-Site

Semmelmann Interiors is a nationally recognized, award-winning luxury residential design firm seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead sophisticated custom homes, renovations, and full-furnishings projects from concept through installation.

This is a hands-on, client-facing design leadership position for an accomplished designer with exceptional taste, strong residential construction knowledge, technical fluency, and the confidence to lead both clients and projects.

You’ll lead:

Complete luxury residential projects from initial concept through final installation
Client presentations, design direction, and major design decisions
Space planning, architectural finishes, cabinetry, lighting, plumbing, flooring, stone, and specialty details
Furnishings, custom upholstery, textiles, rugs, wallcoverings, window treatments, art, and accessories
Coordination with architects, builders, contractors, craftspeople, vendors, and internal design teams
Construction drawing review, specifications, markups, and technical documentation
Project priorities, deadlines, outstanding decisions, and overall forward momentum
Associate and technical designers supporting your projects

We are looking for a designer who can move comfortably between creative vision, construction, furnishings, client relationships, technology, and project leadership.

You may be a strong fit if you have:

5+ years of professional residential interior design experience
Demonstrated experience leading high-end or luxury residential projects
A sophisticated portfolio of complete, cohesive residential interiors
Strong knowledge of residential construction and architectural detailing
Experience leading affluent clients through significant design and financial decisions
Deep knowledge of luxury furnishings, textiles, custom upholstery and finishes
The ability to read and review architectural and construction drawings
Strong AutoCAD or comparable drafting skills
Current proficiency with digital design, presentation, specification, and project-management tools
A reputation for taking ownership, making decisions, solving problems, and following through

We especially value experience with Revit, SketchUp, rendering or 3D visualization software.
