Welcome to Paramount Unified School District. The District is comprised of 19 schools: eleven elementary schools four middle schools. Paramount High School as well as Odyssey High School STEM Academy Buena Vista Alternative Learning and Paramount Adult School. Paramount Unified also has a robust Early Childhood Education program for our youngest learners. District enrollment is approximately 11500 students of which 95% are unduplicated.
Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal Athletics and Athletics Director. The Jr. Varsity Coach is responsible for supporting the head coach in leading and managing the soccer program. This includes developing the skills of student-athletes fostering teamwork ensuring the physical and mental well-being of players and promoting academic achievement alongside athletic success. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the head coach athletics director school administration staff and the community to ensure a positive and supportive environment for all participants.
Minimum Qualifications Previous coaching experience at the high school or higher level; Strong knowledge of coaching rules techniques and strategies; Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills; Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes; Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive team environment. Licenses & Other Requirements: Must possess a valid CPR and First Aid certification; Must pass a background check and complete all district and CIF required training and include professional/character/volunteer references on applications (contact information: name job title and contact information) Incomplete applications will not be considered. CIF Certificates - Fundamentals of Coaching - Concussion Certification - Sudden Cardiac Arrest - Heat Acclimatization Course- Positive Coaching
