Position Summary

Zachry Construction is seeking aTrackhoeOperator. This position demands a worker with experience in the heavy civil construction industry and the ability to work under limited direction and supervision of the Foreman and/or Project Superintendent.

WhatYoullDo

• Inspect equipment and machinery for safe day-to-day operation and general maintenance needs
• Operate track hoe to excavate move and grade earth to specified grade or level
• Interact with construction general laborers and/or crew members to ensure proper alignment movement and grade confirmation for the project
• Turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps
• Adjust control wheels handles and pedals to drive machinery and control attachments such as blades buckets scrapers and swing booms

WhatWereLooking For

• Minimum of five (5) years of industry-related experience with an emphasis on roads highways and bridges
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to understand work directions and communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow employees
• Knowledge of standard hand signals used to direct construction equipment operators
