Involves application development prototyping modeling and high level technical consulting. Perform what-if analysis to simulate network stress test and survivability. Predict effects of configuration changes identify applications bottlenecks and opportunities to optimize performance. Provides resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems. Solutions are innovative thorough and practicable. Works under limited direction Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives. Represents the organization as the principal customer contact on contracts and often performs project leadership role. Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines. Multiple open positions. Position may be eligible for part-time telecommuting.
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree* in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a closely related technical field plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a software engineering occupation.
OR
Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree* in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a closely related technical field plus 3 years of experience in a software engineering occupation.
*Employer will accept any combination of education that has been evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service to be the equivalent of a U.S. degree.
40 hours per week 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM.
Work location: 8200 Jones Branch Drive McLean VA 22102.
This position has a prevailing wage of $175427 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
