Overview

The CRO Strategy and Execution Assistant to the Americas Chief Risk Officer (CRO) will report directly to the Americas CRO and support him across several aspects of his remit. This role is responsible for enabling the effective execution of the CRO’s responsibilities through proactive management of priorities, strategic coordination, and executive support. Key responsibilities include coordinating executive-level governance activities, preparing materials for Board, regulatory, and senior management forums, managing strategic communications, and ensuring the CRO is effectively prepared for critical internal and external engagements. The role also supports the delivery of key strategic and regulatory initiatives through effective stakeholder management, cross-divisional coordination, and oversight of high-priority programs and special projects, including divisional AI initiatives to drive adoption and effective use of AI tools across the division. The Executive Assistant will regularly engage with senior leadership in both CRO regionally and globally as well as across the Bank in Front Office and Infrastructure divisions.

Skills You’ll Need

• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting senior executives, leading strategic initiatives, or coordinating executive governance in a large, complex financial services or similarly regulated organization
• At least 3 years of experience developing executive-level communications, presentations, briefing materials, speaking points, and meeting packages for senior management, Board, or regulatory audiences
• At least 5 years of project or program management experience, including managing multiple high-priority deliverables, stakeholders, dependencies, and deadlines with limited supervision
• At least 3 years of experience in risk management, regulatory, governance, strategy, or business management within financial services, with working knowledge of risk frameworks and senior management governance processes
• Demonstrated experience building relationships, influencing senior stakeholders, exercising sound judgment, and constructively challenging content or priorities across business and infrastructure functions
• At least 2 years of practical experience using Microsoft Copilot or other approved generative AI tools, including prompt development, workflow optimization, business problem solving, and responsible review of data and AI-generated outputs

Skills That Will Help You Excel

• Experience operating as a chief of staff, strategy and execution lead, business manager, executive advisor, or senior executive support professional in a global matrixed organization
• Advanced analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills, with experience synthesizing complex information, identifying emerging risks, and translating issues into concise recommendations and structured solutions
• Strong personal initiative, discretion, adaptability, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize effectively and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of one or more risk disciplines—such as credit, market, operational, liquidity, model, or non-financial risk—and familiarity with regulatory expectations, executive governance, and financial services terminology

 

Expectations

 

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $153,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
