Function Description

Whilst strong technical US payroll knowledge is essential, deliberately looking for someone who can provide leadership, stability and coaching, rather than simply someone who is an experienced payroll processor. A bonus if they typically step in to roles in these sorts of circumstance!

Requirements

Essential

• Proven experience leading a medium to large US payroll function.
• Strong knowledge of US payroll legislation, taxation and compliance.
• Experience managing, developing and coaching payroll teams.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Confident decision-maker who can operate independently without requiring continual direction.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the confidence to appropriately challenge requests and manage expectations.
• Experience balancing multiple competing priorities whilst maintaining operational excellence.

Highly desirable

• Experience using PeopleSoft Payroll, as our immediate priority is maintaining operational stability during our ERP transformation.
• Experience supporting payroll teams through periods of organizational or system change.
• Experience working within large, complex or global organizations.
• Exposure to ERP implementations (Oracle Fusion or similar) would be beneficial but is not essential.
